About Bruce:
Bruce has lived in Newton for over 40 years. After
attending Iowa State University he married a local
girl & they raised 2 boys in Newton. Before
becoming a REALTOR in 1994, he and his wife owned
and operated a very popular downtown restaurant.
They love Newton and think that anyone would be
happy to live here. If you want a tour of Newton

Experience: Bruce has been selling
homes and commercial properties in Jasper County
since 1994. He is a Co-Owner and Associate Broker
of Prudential First Realty of Newton. He has helped
hundreds, possibly thousands of families with their
housing needs. Besides selling real estate, he has
worked as a property manager. At one time was
responsible for over 150 rental units, including all
of Maytag’s temporary housing units. He helped Maytag
employees from their CEO to summer interns with their
temporary housing needs.
Bruce is a Member of the Iowa Association of
REALTORS, National Association of REALTORS and the
Newton Board of REALTORS. He was President of the
Newton Board of REALTORS in 1998 and 2005 and served
on the Executive Board for 12 years. He was voted
REALTOR OF THE YEAR in 2000 & 2003. He also
served as President of Newton Housing Development
Corp. 2002 and 2003.
Interests: Bruce's family is the most
important thing in his life. Working to keep Newton
a great place for his Grandchildren to grow up also
take up much of his time. In this effort Bruce is on
the Board of the Iowa Sculpture Festival, Founding
Board member of the Centre for Art & Artist,
President of ReNew Newton and was recently appointed
to the newly formed Newton Parks Commisstion.
Bruce is also interested in hunting, fishing,
conservation and wildlife habitat. He is a member
of the Jasper County Chapter of Pheasants Forever,
Treasurer for the Iowa Pheasants Forever Council
since 2004 and a founding member of the Jasper
Conservation Connection. In 2009 he helped establish
and coordinate the first Community Service Day along
with the Newton High School and the Greater Newton
Chamber of Commerce |
